Purpose of the Organization
The California Association of Homeowners Associations Inc. has been organized to provide
Boards of Directors, Community Association Homeowners and Property Managers with all the
essential information, laws, guidelines and directions needed to strengthen and professionally
administer the affairs of your associations. We have provided volumes of information to
improve the value of your property and to ensure the enjoyment of community style living.
With 40,000 condominium and single family community homes
in California, 4 million units 6 -7 million residents, spending
more than 6 billion dollars annually, the term "strength
in unity" takes on a new meaning for community association
homeowners. Utilizing the strength in our numbers, there are
many economic and social advantages to be gained. Many issues
are set forth on the "home" page and have already
been addressed. Many more are in progress.
To sustain the organization and disseminate the information is costly and time consuming.
And so to homeowners, board members and to all that derive benefits from the information
presented here, we invite you to become members and contribute financially to the development
of the organization we consider yours. Your contributions are needed to continue to provide
the services and information essential to the growth and integrity of this industry and
to continue to increase the value and enjoyment of your property.
The needs and demands on Community Associations are unique. Over the past several years'
costs of insurance, utilities, maintenance and management have increased significantly
which has also driven up the cost of association dues. Many associations are struggling
to make necessary repairs or to increase reserves. With community living considered to
be the housing of the future, the "California Association of Homeowners Associations
Inc." has been organized to help solve these and other association needs and problems.
In recent times, the California Association of Homeowners Associations Inc. has become a
major source of information for community associations throughout California, the United
States and many foreign countries. This web site is hit an average of 1400 times a day.
Many e-mails and phone calls are received daily. California is (as near as we can discern)
the leading state in the country in the organization, development and promotion of community
living in its various forms. And the California Association of Homeowners Associations
